DMO 2012, Langkawi : Call for Paper


The Data Mining and Optimization Research Group and Centre for Artificial Intelligence Technology of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia are pleased to announce The 2012 Fourth International Conference on Data Mining and Optimization 2012 (DMO2012) which will be held from 2 - 4 September in Langkawi.
DMO2012 is Technical Co-sponsored by IEEE Malaysia Computer Chapter. The DMO is an international refereed conference dedicated to the advancement of the theory and practical implementation of data mining and optimization to fostering discussions on soft computing and generally the artificial intelligence. The objective of DMO2012 is promote research esteem in data mining and optimization in this region.
The 4th International Conference on DMO aims to build on the success of previous years to provide a forum for data mining and optimization researchers in academia and industry to present and discuss their latest advances. In addition to peer-reviewed papers, DMO will present a plenary lectures and tutorials to facilitate and inspires researchers both the data miners and 'optimizers' in their work.
The theme of the conference is 'Towards Safer and Greener Earth". To improve the quality of life, the challenge to researchers and experts in data mining and optimization is to model solutions using sophisticated and intelligent technologies and approaches that promote sustainable and greener solutions.
DMO2012 offers a 3 days focus conference (no parallel sessions) on Data Mining & Optimization field.
We invite submissions of papers presenting a high-quality original research and development for the conference tracks 1) Data mining, 2) Optimization and 3) Application of Data Mining/Optimization.
Topics of interest encompass all aspects of Data Mining and Optimization and soft computing. These include all aspects of Data Mining tasks, techniques and applications.
Prospective authors are invited to submit a full paper of 4~8 pages (PDF). All the accepted papers will appear in the proceedings published by IEEE and fully indexed by IEEE Xplore. Therefore, authors must follow the double columns IEEE format as the accepted papers will be published via IEEE Xplore . The language of the Seminar is English.

JOURNAL
Selected authors will receive an invitation for submitting an extended version to be published in the International Journal of Advances in Soft Computing and Its Applications, This journal is under the patronage of International Journal of Open Problems in Computer Science and Mathematics (IJOPCM) ). Only papers that will be submitted in an extended form and clearly presenting an enhanced version will be considered. Reference to the original paper published in a conference is mandatory. A new review round will be performed, under the control of the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board.
